After a weekend full of dental work and much needed naps, I’m back with a helpful holiday card guide. I often find people, myself included, writing on sticker tags of bags and wrapped gifts to specify who’s gift is who’s and what should be going where. Every year I get some really night thoughtful card that has a special trinket, may it be a gift card, cash or check, I am always grateful.

So this year, if you aren’t already in the tradition of personalized holiday cards, there are plenty of options at hand for you to try. From taking that “family photo” with your pets to create your own holiday card, to having holiday stationary to write letters to loved ones. You can even go the DIY route and make some really fun holiday cards personalized for every recipient.

When choosing a holiday photo for your card, make sure to add your own festive greeting to personalize it even more. My personal favorites are “Merry Sithmas” and “Merry Krampus” send these out to all your loved ones, not so loved ones, favorite aunt three times removed, all your friends and extended family. You get a card and you get a card! These cards are great for updating everyone on how you are looking now a days as well as sending holiday cheer.

Another great option is having stationary on hand to write all those heartfelt holiday letters to those family members you rarely speak to, wishing them well and reminding them that you still know they exist. Festive stationary is also great to add notes to gifts you are going to your immediate family, friends and loved ones. It is also great to write down your list of people you can’t forget to buy a gift for this year. Multipurpose stationary at its finest.

And last but not least, the DIY option. Which lets you collect a silly array of stamps you may rarely ever use again. But on the real, buy or make a simple festive stamp and put that shit on everything. The card itself, the envelope, the gift wrap, the name tag, everything. Go stamp crazy this holiday season, why not. Add some glitter, and different ink colors to jazz it up. Get creative and have fun with it.

I hope you have a great holiday season, getting crafty and heartfelt with your cards, wrapping and even gift ideas this year. Tag @styleastronaut #styleastronaut in photos where you are sharing your holiday joy!
