On my travels, I have encountered many an earthling that knew little to nothing about taking care of their skin. It was almost astounding how many of you don’t even use a moisturizer or even a sunblock on a regular basis. I often get comments on how soft my skin is and how these people “don’t know how I do it” and for the most part I find out that they don’t even own a face lotion.
So for anyone who hasn’t been attentive to their skin and is wondering why they are wrinkling early, here’s a few tips to start taking care of the flesh you are stuck with for the rest of your life! First, analyze your skin and figure out what kind of skin you have and how it behaves. This will help you choose products that are best for you and will work well to better help your skin situation! Once you’ve determined your skin type you can move onto finding your products. Don’t feel married to your skincare if it’s not working for you, you might need to try something new that will end up working better. It’s trial and error until you find what works best for you!
Everyone needs at least these 3 essential items to better take care of their skin, from your head to your toes! A moisturizer, a cleanser and a treatment of some sort, the treatment can range from a face and body oil, to a mask or face and body scrub. Each of these items have specific purposes and help to keep your skin clean and happy. A great way to experiment with products is to ask for samples, most stores will gladly give you a free sample to try out the product before you buy! So once you’ve chosen your products, what are you going to do with them?
Every Morning and night, you will be washing, cleansing and moisturizing. Mornings usually call for a moisturizer with an SPF to protect your face from the sun during the day, where at night you can use a moisturizing treatment or night cream to keep your skin hydrated as you sleep. You always want to make sure your face and body are clean before you apply anything else to them to avoid any angry skin situations. Always make sure to pat your face dry to avoid creating wrinkles and prevent your skin drying out, when you let the water droplets evaporate on their own you run that risk. Also apply your body lotion straight out of the shower for maximum lock in of moisture.
The treatment portion of your regimen can be a mask, scrub, or any type of treatment you feel will work best for your skin type. So if your acne prone, maybe an acne treatment and so on. Most treatment type products like masks and scrubs can be used 2-4 times a week depending on what they are and what they are best used for. Just remember not to over stimulate your skin, or you’ll cause more damage than good.
No matter who you are, every earthling needs to take c
are of their skin. If you can keep your skin happy, clean and moisturized, you will feel better
in the long run. Some of you will need more than the 3 essentials, some additional products you may want are toners, makeup removers, face and body oils, sheet masks, scrubs, night creams, eye creams, lip scrubs, lip balms, overnight treatments and more. Get yourself on a skincare regimen and live with softer happier skin!
