Today we get to know the brand formally known as “The Moon Cult” Alien Outfitters! I have mentioned them before on this blog during Spooktober in the past and I know people love what they have to offer. So I hope you enjoy this closer look!
Meet Ana, she created AlienOutfitters.com. A unique online webstore for all things moon struck and out of this world. “Our goal is to provide girl-power products to the most unique customers on this planet. Based in North Carolina, the shop is independently ran by myself and my girlfriends who thrive best when creating together. With listings ranging from graphic crop tops, mermaid knives, and coffee mugs, the site is exploding with things you want to fill your home and closet with.”
How did you come up with your brand name?
We transitioned from The Moon Cult to Alien Outfitters about 6 months ago and the re-branding was the best thing we ever did. Alien Outfitters is a clear representation of who we are. For aliens, by aliens.
When did you start your business?
I started online retail at 16 years old in 2010, and started my personal online retail store in late 2011. It has been close to 6 years I have been in the business.
What is your favorite part of creating your products?
Getting hands on with the products is my favorite part of the creative process. If I love it, I know our fans will.
How did you get into your field?
There was never a business plan, simply a series of mistakes which led me to this much appreciated point in my career. I believe failure is the key to success. I crave learning from all my mistakes
What/who inspires you to create?
I am not fulfilled unless I am creating and inspiring. Everything is inspiring if your looking for inspiration.
What is your favorite/most popular product you have made to date?
My personal interests go hand-in-hand with the type of products we sell. Our collection of knives and weaponry is particular my favorite. I have a personal collection of my own, so it’s really fun to grow my collection along with selling them at the same time.
Where do you want to see your brand in 5 years?
I would love to transition our brand in 5 years to New York City
What is your brands aesthetic?
Extraterrestrial, uncensored, alien
