January can be such a drag sometimes, but escaping the country with a few friends never hurts. A couple weekends ago we hopped in a car and made our way to Montreal for IglooFest; Anjunabeats weekend! -Vlog above is a peek into the weekend-
We had such a blast hitting this festival last year that we had already decided that this year needed to happen, and I’m pretty sure we are already ready for next year! This year we hit a few new spots in our adventures and a few we loved the last time we came. On this round of IglooFest, we got to dance around in 2 degree weather and drink slusheefied versions of our beverages for the night. Followed by a lovely little stop at a Gluten Free bakery the next morning for me called Cookie Stephanie. If you have a gluten intolerance or an allergy, I highly recommend going to check it out!
We found a lovely little spa next to our hotel where we got massages and manicures followed by dinner. Found a lovely sushi spot called Mikado, with a wonderful ambiance and wonderful service. I personally ate my weight in sushi and hot tea, can’t forget the delicious sorbet for dessert. We walked out of dinner into a winter wonderland of glittering snow and followed up dinner with a night cap at Cloakroom bar.
The next day we hit our last few adventures to the Marché Jean-Talon, a lovely indoor farmers market with many delicious vendors and treats. Followed by a stop to get authentic poutine at La Banquise before we hit the MAC and headed back home to the states.
It was such a lovely trip, and every time I end up in Canada, I fall more in love with it. Until next time…
